Pro Audio & Lighting Sales Adviser

Due to continued growth, we require a full time sales and customer relationship adviser for our specialist event technology business. Working as part of a small and friendly team supplying both retail consumers and the commercial sector with a broad range of pro-audio, lighting and SFX products, integrated systems, and accessories. We’re a multi-channel business supplying and interfacing online, by phone and in-store, and the successful candidate will possess an enthusiasm for our industry, a motivation to constantly help our customers and our team, and be comfortable working at pace across a number of media and communication channels.


  • Handling inbound telephone, email, and walk-in enquiries and providing initial product selection and specification advice to customers.
  • Preparation and submittal to customers of written system proposals and product sales quotations.
  • Response to technical queries via all of above channels – working with in-house technical support.
  • Following up on quotations, closure of sales, after-sales support.
  • Maintaining an awareness of competing offers and generally monitoring our market.
  • Staying informed on market and product developments and trends, and advising the team accordingly.
  • Continually searching and being alert for new opportunities and sharing with the team.
  • Assisting with online and physical marketing campaigns.
  • Assisting with management / upload of product offers on website.
  • Assisting with the testing of returned faulty products.

Ideal Attributes

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Good rapport-building skills and flare for identifying the desires and priorities of prospective customers.
  • Good organisational, planning, and follow-up skills.
  • Some experience of providing technical sales advice, particularly to the commercial sector.
  • Full IT competence.
  • Enthusiasm for some or all aspects of the Events and Entertainment Industry.
  • Specialist product experience an advantage – however ongoing product training will be given.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £16,000.00 to £18,000.00 /year


Accounts/Finance Administrator

Part-time – very flexible office hours to suit YOU

( 20 – 30 hours a week)

We now require a new experienced Accounts Administrator to join a small and very friendly company in Lancaster. This person will provide day to day management of all financial records and account ledgers. This is a broad role with wide-ranging responsibilities.

This is a permanent job in a Lancaster city centre location.

The job role is as follows;

  • Daily reconciliation of sales
  • Recording of income from sales onto the cash flow
  • Daily cash flow management and forecasting
  • Management of trade debtor accounts
  • recording and monitoring of supplier invoices
  • monitoring credit notes
  • monitoring of VAT liability and submission of yearly accounts to HMRC
  • Liaising with accountants re monthly payroll and year-end accounts
  • Other finance-related tasks as required

You will have

  • Strong Excel skills
  • Strong Sage skills
  • A recent job history of working in accounts or finance

Starting salary £16-18k pro rata, depending on previous experience.

Free parking and Lancaster city centre location. To start in July 2018.
